Climbing Mount Elbrus (5,642 m) with Juanito Oiarzabal in August 2010. In memory of Anatoly Moshnikov who died in an accident at peak Radistov in October 2011.
To travel to the unknown, to go further than anyone before, higher, sooner, colder. To reach -320 meters diving. To reach the summit of the 14 eight thousand meters peaks without oxygen. To die of starvation and exhaustion at 90° south latitude, or devoured by lions when crossing the Serengeti on foot, trying to arrive to Robanda. To be the first one, always more, the desire of discovery, for the pleasure to demonstrate to oneself that it could be done, to know oneself better, or just to be part of history.
Dedicated to the ones who believed in a dream, who went far away, where it looked impossible. To the ones who moved the world, pioneers of their times. But also and mainly, to the ones who died in their attempt, to those unknown heroes who doesn't make part of history, or whose bodies were never found. To you, the wrongly called 'conquerers of the useless'.
